Post Graduate Loans

First Global Bank, in association with the Students' Loan Bureau(SLB), now offers a loan facility for post-graduate study at the following universities:

University of the West Indies             (UWI)

University of Technology                   (UTECH)

Nothern Caribbean University          (NCU)

Institute of Management Sciences/
Florida International University         (FIU)

Financial assistance is available for post graduate study in all faculties of UWI, UTECH, NCU and FIU.

This facility covers the special need of employed graduates who have been accepted into post graduate programmes. Open to graduates who are employed full-time.

The Universities have committed to arrange lecture times so that students will not be forced to give up their employment.

How to Access Financing

Students accepted to post-graduate study must apply at the Students' Loan Bureau (SLB) within the dates advised.

Application Forms cost $250.00

Applications must be accompanied by the required documents.

Applicants will be asked to pay to SLB a processing fee of $4,000, and the cost of life and disability insurance,at the cost of $1.50 per thousand per month.

Applicants will require two guarantors/cosigners. They will also sign a salary deduction order endorsed by their employers, to take effect no longer than thirty (30) days after the date of signing.

Applicants will be interviewed and prequalified by the SLB, who will collect all applicable fees.

There is a shared commitment fee of 3 1/2 % to disburse the loan.

Loans must be completed before the commencement of the next academic year.

Applicants should also be willing to authorize, and indemnify, the University to hold diplomas and certificates pending the settlement of the loans.
