What should I do if my card is lost or stolen?

If your card has been lost or stolen, please notify credit card services immediately by calling 1-888- FGB CARD (342-2273) , 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They will block your lost/stolen card instantly and a new card will be delivered to you within four working days.

We do require you to contact us within 45 days of the date you received the statement showing the unauthorized charges, to avoid liability for those charges.

Can I use my credit card for expenses on the Internet?

Yes, your credit card can be used for expenses on the internet.

How do I activate my card?

You may activate your card by calling our credit card centre at 1-888- FGB CARD (342-2273), 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You may then begin using your new card right away for all of your purchasing needs. Remember to destroy any expired credit cards.

Can I go online to see my balance and manage my account?

Yes. If you have already signed up for our internet banking service you can see your balance, recent transactions and make payments at Just log in from the "My Accounts" section located in the top right-hand corner of the page.

How do I increase my credit limit?

Contact our credit card centre at 1-888- FGB CARD (342-2273)and find out how you can go about requesting a credit limit increase.

What is the balance transfer facility?

Worried about the outstanding balances on your other banks' credit cards? The First Global Bank balance transfer facility allows you to transfer your outstanding balances from your other banks' credit cards to your FGB credit card at interest rates as low as 39% on Jamaican dollar denominated credit cards.

Settling the Bill

Can I access my credit card account information online?

Yes. With this service, you can perform the following tasks at no additional charge:

  • Get a summary of your credit card account status, including balance, available credit, and information on when your next payment is due;
  • Request up to 6 months of detailed transaction information;
  • View and print credit card statements;
  • Make a payment online if you have other FGB savings or chequing accounts; and
  • Contact customer service.

How do I pay my credit card bill?

  • Make your payments via cheque or cash at any FGB branch island wide
  • Payments are accepted only at FGB branches during regular banking hours
  • FGB chequing and savings account holders also have the convenience of making payments through FGB's online banking facility
